Dear Valued Customers,
I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. We have many initiatives under way at Brunk in order to mitigate the risks associated with the spread of this disease that I feel is important to share with you.
Precautionary Measures
We created a COVID-19 leadership team on 16th March that meets daily. This team is made up of the Executive Team, Human Resources and Facilities Management. We have kept our workforce informed through daily updates, posting of corporate mitigation efforts and periodic video messaging. The actions we have taken within our facilities include:
Brunk Business Continuity Plan COVID-19
- Restricted all business travel
- Restricted access to facilities with No Visitor policy
- Essential equipment service engineers only with health check and masks
- Additional PTO – ill showing symptoms and/or underlying health conditions
- Teleworking for those employees authorized to work remotely
- Daily cleaning/disinfection of factory and common areas
- Employees required to wear masks in operations and common areas
- Daily temperature checks, with no fever present to work (99.5F/37.5C or below)
- Hand sanitizer available and employees expected to wash their hands frequently
- Practice social distancing with work and lunch areas separated by 6 feet
- Plan in place with outside service to disinfect plant with 48 hour shutdown in the event of an infection
Community Outreach Program
We created a Community Outreach Program which was focused on hiring workers who have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 virus. We offered temporary employment opportunities on all 3 shifts to local people in the community during the shutdown of non-essential businesses.
We also created a “Brunk Matching Card Program”. Brunk will match gift cards when one of its employees purchases a gift card from a local business that was unable to remain open to the public, such as restaurants, bars and any small business that voluntarily closed during this critical time with the intent of creating some sort of revenue stream for these businesses.
Supply Chain Management
Brunk has been classified as Critical Infrastructure by Homeland Security for many years and we reached out to our supplier partners and offered to help them get the same classification with their local and state authorities so there would be no interruption of supply. All of our supplier partners understand the criticality of keeping the supply chain full as we continue to serve our customers and ultimately the patients who rely on these class critical devices that we support.
In closing, I want to assure you that our organization is doing everything possible to keep our employees safe and healthy in order to continue to deliver on our commitment to the patients and our Valued Customers.
Best Regards,
Lars
