Job Function:
Manage, develop, and approve development of incoming, raw material, all process, final inspection testing, and documentation responsibilities in accordance to Brunk Quality System to ensure that all components meet specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Complete documented training and fully understand all SOPs/WIs that apply to the Engineer duties.
- Manage, develop, and approve incoming, raw material, all process, and final inspections and supporting documentation.
- Provide training and mentoring of quality functions.
- Manage and/or coordinate process troubleshooting and/or improvement activities.
- Promote teamwork and effective communication within the department as well as peers and management.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain a tidy and clean work area.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of arithmetic.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to interpret blueprint/drawing.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to interpret GD&T.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to interpret SPC.
- Advanced knowledge and ability to interpret internal, customer, federal, and international specifications.
- Advanced knowledge of micrometers, calipers and indicators, comparators.
- Advanced knowledge of cmms, automated vision systems, surface analysis, and force testers.
- Advanced knowledge of computers systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and an ERP system.
- Excellent documentation practices.
- Highly detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Work independently while maintaining a team environment.
Preference given to candidates with:
- Knowledge of metal stamping and machining processes.
Education and Experience:
Minimum educational requirements listed below may be substituted by relevant experience, learned competencies and/or certifications obtained throughout one’s career.
- Minimum 7 years quality experience in a manufacturing setting and medical device component manufacturing is desired.
- ISO 13485 or equivalent experience desired.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field desired.
Work Environment:
Office, some work in manufacturing setting with noise, grinding, dust and residue. Light lifting (30 lbs. or less).
